A brief band history!
My first band! Alan Newell: Guitar & Vocal, Selwyn Anderson: Guitar & Vocal, Annetta O'Sullivan: Vocal & Drums, Gary Holt: Drums & Vocal. I was only 14 or 15 when I joined this band.
September
Chris Puleston: Drums, Jim Smith: Vocal & Jim Gregory: Guitar. We did record a few songs at Maris Piper Studios with a local singer called John Bliss. I lost my copy of the cassette many years ago.
John Payne: Guitar & Vocal, Gary Lockyer: Drums. A very creative time. John went on to front the band 'Asia'. Still had my Gibson SB400 bass then.
Ztorm /Alaska / Nexus
Steve Smith: Keyboards & Vocal, Pete Salt: Drums & Lyrics, Paul Snoxell: Guitar & Vocal. Three bands for the price of one! Lots of recordings.
Whoa! A lot of history here. My time with this band spans the best part of 30 years! Vaughan Rance: Drums, Gerry Howe: Keyboards, Jim Gregory: Guitar, not forgetting the girls, Rachel Farrow & Nicky Clarke
The Who Medley Whole Again Soul Medley
Rik Taylor: Guitar, David Payne: Guitar, Mem Mustafa: Vocal & Harmonica, Les West: Sound, Colin MacLeod: Drums. What a band! Excellent musicianship. I'll miss Rik, he passed away on 20th December 2008. Here are some photos from his tribute show held at the Oxen Road club on an icy and frozen 6th February 2009. We played The Osmond's' 'Crazy Horses', James Morrison & Nelly Furtado's 'Broken Strings', Zep's 'Rock & Roll' and 'To Make You Feel My Love' by Billy Joel. Not a bad set considering!
Amanda Seal: Vocal, Mem Mustafa: Vocal, David Moulster: Guitar, Colin MacLeod: Drums
'The Blues Doctors' were originally formed by Mark Beer. Mark Beer: Guitar, Mem Mustafa: Vocal & Harmonica, Paul McArney: Drums.
My first foray into an acoustic duo set up. Lasted for a couple of years, then we sort of just drifted apart... sad really.
